Privacy for the private beta

Remind Me Yesterday helps you organise plans and reminders. This notice describes the private phone trial. Updated 13 October 2026.

Information on your device

The app stores imported plans, people, saved preferences, conversations and checklists on your device. Source-account credentials and your private AI connection key are stored in the device Keychain. Device backups are controlled by your Apple settings.

Optional account sync

If you enable Account sync, a separate authenticated data service stores your saved library in a Render-hosted PostgreSQL database in Frankfurt. This includes saved tasks, plans, lists, people, preferences, conversations, reward information, source text already saved with plans, and attached files. It can contain sensitive information you have chosen to save. Sync uses Sign in with Apple to identify your account; it does not share your library with other people.

Library transfers are data operations, not AI requests. Source-account credentials, inbox caches and notification permissions stay on each device. Sync requires an explicit first-use choice and checks while the app is open; it does not promise immediate background delivery. Pause stops further sync on that device but does not erase the account copy.

Recovery copies are kept on the device before replacing its library. Cloud deletion records and retry receipts are retained to prevent older devices recreating deleted items. Files no longer attached to a plan may remain in the beta account store until cleanup. To request removal of your beta cloud library, contact hello@maninaskirt.com. Do not send passwords or connection keys. Self-service cloud-account deletion and full production retention controls are not yet available in this private trial.

Connected calendars and email

Connections are optional. The app reads the calendars you select and relevant email information to find plans, changes and preparations. Google and Microsoft connections are read-only: the app does not send email or change your source calendars. Apple Calendar access is used for reading. Documents you choose to open or share may be downloaded to the device.

AI processing

When Cloud AI is selected, relevant conversation, event, email and extracted document text is sent through our authenticated Render-hosted service to OpenAI. Saved people, routines and preferences may be included. This information can contain sensitive details if your sources or messages contain them. Original attachment files and source-account credentials are not sent to the AI gateway.

The AI request handler does not save conversation or source-text payloads; optional account sync separately stores the library described above. It records usage metadata such as time, model, token counts and outcome. Requests ask OpenAI not to store Responses API results. Hosting and AI providers may retain operational or security information under their own policies; this is not a promise of zero retention. See OpenAI privacy information and Render privacy information.

Your choices

You can disconnect sources, change notification settings, and turn off automatic AI source review in Settings. Disconnecting a source does not necessarily delete plans already saved from it. Review and remove those plans separately. You can also revoke access through Google, Microsoft or Apple account settings. Your account sign-in and source connections are separate.

Testing and support

No advertising or cross-app tracking is included. Apple may provide TestFlight feedback and crash diagnostics according to your TestFlight settings. For privacy questions or help removing beta information, contact the developer through TestFlight’s Send Beta Feedback option.
